Whanganui Urban
Convenient routes for city travel (201-205) and commuting (225)
Timetables
The Whanganui bus network is made up of two high-frequency routes running every 20 minutes across the city (201 and 202), three other urban services providing key connections across the city (203, 204 and 205) and the commuter service which runs on weekdays between Palmerston North and Whanganui (225).
Whanganui network timetables are available online (link below), on board buses, at the iSite, and at Whanganui District Council and Horizons Regional Council offices. We've also loaded routes and timetables into Google Maps, Apple Maps and the free Transit app. If using Google Maps or Apple Maps, be sure to select the 'public transport' option - it looks like a bus - when planning your trips. There's more info about the Transit app below.
If you have questions after reading the timetables or using Google Maps/Apple Maps/Transit app, feel free to send an email to transport@horizons.govt.nz, call freephone 0508 800 800, or head into our Whanganui office at 181 Guyton St.
